Well considering it was the best Beast Mastery skill by FAR, I would say yes it did matter. Now its probibly one of the worst.

The skills in the Beast Mastery attribute, are already regarded as weak. Although it does consist of VERY few good skills, most are quite useless for most situations.

Rangers used to have an option of being able to change thier build effectivly to match a certain goal, such as dealing a high amount of damage, on par with those of the other great damage dealers (aka assasins...) yet now, with the past patches they destroyed this.

Now most Beast Masters are without Elites, as every elite skill in the attibute are definitly the worst in the game.

Sad but true.

combine with [tigers fury]/[bestial fury], [Charm Animal] & [comfort animal]/[companionship] for easy +80 dmg every 5 sec

It was far from good before. I mean, it was okay, but hardly worth taking up your elite slot when you could run a conjure and do the same thing.

Enraged Lunge is'nt all that good considering its a pet attack and you need afew BM skills to be in cd (aka using valuable mana)
Ferocious Strike yet again is a pet skill, it has its uses i guess if you need adrenaline???? Nothing great, thats for sure.
Heal As One is the only option left, to a good Elite. Its some what of a combo of the other two BM heals.

Now compare to the old Strike As One, these are nothing. An Enchantment that allows you and your pet each +10 damage per hit, that is easily spammable (after the 5 hits) without wasting tons of mana. This in conjuction with a pet attack and Feral Aggression would easily allow you to deal more than 100 damage per hit. And thats simply your pets damage.

There refering to this. It was never a good skill and was/is outclassed by a bunch of elites like RaO

The original skill was trash anyway [Strike As One]. Few if any players actually make regular use of it. And just because you use it, doesn't mean Anet can't destroy it. After all, the game isn't based on you.(Thank God?) So quit complaining pointlessly about how Anet destroyed [Strike As One] and start to use some new build, there are a total of 290 elites out there, don't just go to bed with only one of them, share the love.

Ever played a R/P with a pet and [Heal As One] as the elite.......??its actually pretty good.

Its much better now, although I still won't ever use it.

And are you kidding me? Enraged Lunge is one of the best skills for anyone using a pet. Other than RaO. It counts itself as recharging, and with [[Otyugh's Cry] (which you should be bringing) you only need two more skills.

Ferocious was still better than SaO. It was the poor man's thumper. It also has beastly energy management, and the + damage is nice. Who cares about the adrenaline? Its just a perk.

You must not have used the skill much. It was not an enchantment (Lol @ ranger enchantments). Uhh, no one would waste their elite on 100 armor affected damage. Besides, thats 100 damage every second, and Enraged is 80 damage every 5.

It would take probably 15-20 seconds for the old Strike as One to do as much damage as Enraged Lunge does every 5 seconds.

The new Strike As One still sucks (badly), but teleporting your pet does make for a funny R/W or R/A melee build in random arenas. At least until you realize how bad it is.
